Hagar Qim and Mdina

This half day tour combines two of Malta’s momentous highlights on the top of every history enthusiast’s must do list: Medieval Mdina and prehistoric Hagar Qim. The Maltese megalithic period is truly remarkable and Hagar Qim, recognized as World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1992, is a fine example of megalithic temples which bear testimony to this ancient bygone culture.

Tour description:

Pick-up and drop-off from the Cruise Liner Terminal Exit or your hotel by a private vehicle and fully licensed tour guide. The itinerary of this tour includes:

  • Guided visit of Hagar Qim prehistoric temples.
  • Panoramic drive by the Dingli Cliffs.
  • A walking tour of Mdina, Malta’s former capital was the ‘Notable City’ in the Middle Ages. Home to Malta’s nobility it has retained its medieval charm whilst harmoniously assimilating splendid baroque and neo architecture.

Duration: 4 to5 hours from the agreed meeting time.


Stress level: Easy. Walking in Mdina is on flat terrain. Hagar Qim involves little walking.
