Welcome to Valletta, World Heritage Site and European City of Culture 2018!

How did this great city come into being?  What makes Valletta so unique? Who were the Knights of Malta, and what of the British period? During this walk you will learn how it all began, how it evolved over the centuries, and about the events which shaped Valletta into the city that it is today.

The walk will take you past the city’s main landmarks as well as off the beaten track.  In just 2.5 hours you will see and learn about Valletta’s more known buildings as well as about its hidden charms.

Meeting Point

At the Parliament building, City Gate Valletta.  Your tour guide will have the City Walking Tours Malta sign or red umbrella.

Public buses as well as the various Hop on Hop off bus companies operate to Valletta City Gate.  There is also a multi story car park just outside City Gate.
