Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how City Walking Tours Malta uses cookies and similar technologies on citywalkingtoursmalta.com. For more on how we handle your personal data, see our Privacy Policy.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as your browser's local storage, work in a similar way. They help a website work properly, remember your choices and understand how it is used.
Managing your consent
When you first visit our website, a consent banner lets you choose which optional cookies to allow. Analytics cookies are only set if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time by clicking "Manage consent" at the bottom of any page.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block functional cookies, parts of the website, such as our forms, may not work.
Functional cookies
These are needed for the website to work and cannot be turned off.
city_walking_tours_malta_session – keeps your session while you browse, for example while you fill in a form. Expires when you close your browser or after 2 hours.
XSRF-TOKEN – protects our forms against cross-site request forgery. Expires after 2 hours.
consentBannerDefault (local storage) – remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask again on every visit. Kept until you clear your browser data.
Cloudflare cookies (such as __cf_bm) – may be set by our security provider to tell real visitors apart from bots. Expire after 30 minutes.
Analytics cookies
These are only set if you give your consent.
_ga – set by Google Analytics to distinguish unique visitors. Expires after 2 years.
_ga_WNNXXLDMVK – set by Google Analytics to keep track of your session. Expires after 2 years.
Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use our website, such as which pages are most popular, so we can improve it. IP addresses are anonymised. Learn more in Google's privacy policy.
Third-party content
Some pages include content from other companies, which may set their own cookies under their own policies:
Bókun – the booking widget on our tour pages, used to check availability and make bookings.
Facebook (Meta) – embedded Facebook posts on some tour pages.
