At City Walking Tours Malta, we are pleased to offer tours that cater to guests with limited mobility and for whom adventures need to be carefully planned to avoid stressful walking.  The Scenic Malta Shore Excursion private tour has been designed to ensure that you immerse yourself in the beauty that Malta has to offer without being hindered by walking challenges.

On this private tour, our tour guide will accompany you in the comfort of a chauffeur-driven vehicle around some of the sites that have been gracing Maltese postcards for decades.  Together we will tour the bastioned-perimeter of Valletta, visit the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, drive around a scenic coastal route and end our tour in Mdina.

Detailed Overview

It’s time to cast your views on the coast of the island.  The Scenic Malta Shore Excursion Tour is a private tour that is meant to take your Malta adventure to the land’s edge and bring you face to face with the blue waters of the Mediterranean, even if mobility is restricted.

On this tour, we will take a drive around the fringe of Valletta’s bastions, with stops on the way to admire the harbours that flank the peninsula on which the city of Valletta rises.  On the one hand, we’ll look out on the Grand Harbour, a strategic maritime hub for millennia and on the other side, we’ll find Marsamxett Harbour, another natural harbour.

From here, we will move to Marsaxlokk, a traditional fishing village, where we will be greeted by a kaleidoscope along the water’s edge.  In Marsaxlokk, we will take a short stroll along the front, where the colourful boats along the quayside all sport the ancient superstitious motif of the “eye of Osiris”, reminiscent of Phoenician and Egyptian roots.

On the way to our next destination, we will have a brief photo stop briefly at Blue Grotto, a picturesque and iconic area known for its coastal caves.  Further on along this panoramic drive, we will have another stopover at Dingli Cliffs.

Upon arrival in Mdina, we will take a tour of the ancient city along the cobblestone streets flanked by distinctive palazzos, majestic churches, and impressive buildings, which lead to picturesque piazzas that seem to come out of fairytale books.  Rest assured that through our journey, you will not feel frustrated by stressful or extensive walking.  It is only about enjoying the best of Malta’s shores!
