A tour of contrasts awaits you! Our classic walking tour, 'A Tale of Two Cities', is a journey that will take you along a route from Valletta to Mdina, Malta's present and past capital cities, each with a character of their own.  They have one thing in common – a charm that will leave you yearning for more!

Together with your tour guide you will have the opportunity to discover the annals of these two great cities and the options of visiting St. John Co-Cathedral, lunch break in Valletta or Mdina and dedicating some time to personal sightseeing and shopping.

Additionally, on this tour, you will be treated to a panoramic drive along Dingli Cliffs, which offers a glimpse into Malta's rural soul.  The unique combination of sights on this tour will give you a comprehensive vibe of Malta's essence.

Detailed Overview

This is a private tour of contrasts – a journey where Malta’s capital city, Valletta, and the ancient city of Mdina intertwine to create a voyage of discovery that reveals the island's history.   Your private tour guide will kick off this route with a classic walking tour of Valletta, tracing the history of the Knights of St. John, who built the city.  There's a story in every stone or building, and it all culminates at St. John Co-Cathedral.  On this tour, you will have the option to tour St. John Co-Cathedral.

The modest façade of the church yet again is in stark contrast with its embellished interior. Gaze at unparalleled opulence and splendour of a church that has been dressed in full regalia of carvings, gilded decorations and vibrant frescoes.  Watch out for your steps as even the floor is like a collage of ornate marble tombs and your tour guide will also highlight the stories tied to Caravaggio and his masterpieces.

Following our walking tour in Valletta, we will head to Mdina, and you will immediately feel drawn to the silent city, where traffic is inexistent.  The sense of times gone by seem to linger in the air of the medieval squares and in the hidden courtyards.  The cobble-stone streets, the Baroque palaces, and the intricately carved façades are testaments to the history of this city.

Our private tour will come to an end with a panoramic drive along Dingli Cliffs, an area where you will definitely feel compelled to take a stop and breathe in the view and the fresh air.
